bio

i graduated with a BA Hons in 2006 at UCE (now Birmingham City University) in Art and Design. but i have drawn and painted since i was little. its really important to me, when i draw a portrait, that i capture more than just a face. i have the privilege of working with young people. i love to draw them because of their vitality and attitude- they hide nothing in their faces. and i love that i can see a glimpse of their characters in my drawings. that is what i strive to do in my work- so when someone looks at my portraits, they see a story as well as a face.
